With cancer survivor Mike Paradowski at the start of the Peloton Ride 2021
Even though covid makes the news every day, cancer has not taken a day off. Still, many people get diagnosed every day and start the fight of their life. Cancer touches everybody’s life. I have lost several friends and former colleagues to cancer. This year I will ride in honor of friends: Archie Glick, Myrna de Graaff, Donna Frydrychowski, Sjaak Arts, Robin Solis, David Fisher and Robert Carloni.
I will ride in support of Mark Kucharski, Shelly Reisdorf, Hanneke Nicolaes, Leon Komm and Le Dung Truong
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of the leading cancer research centers in the US and all the money the Ride raises will be used to fund more research to find a cure for cancer.
After two years of adjusted rides because of covid, we are back at the North campus of the University at Buffalo (UB)! I am signed up to do a 65-mile country route. The 65-Mile Country Route takes us to Amherst, Clarence, Newstead, Alabama, Royalton, Shelby and back along Tonawanda Creek over some nice rolling hills along the route.
This will be my 6th Ride for Roswell and my lifetime total until now is $ 42,971. My goal this year is to get to a total of $ 60,000, hence this year’s goal: $ 17,029!
Will you help me to reach that goal, but more important, raise much needed funding to find a cure for cancer. It is very much appreciated!
