The Empire State Ride is more than a bike ride. In July, I am cycling over 500 miles across New York State to end cancer.
In 2016 Julia rode part of this ride to honor her Brother in Law Mark. I never imagined I would be riding this in Julia’s memory. It started out did I drink a bad beer, am I lactose intolerant ,no real sign of anything wrong until she got back pain a few week before diagnoses of Pancreatic cancer. 6 months into chemo we rode bicycles 21 miles. She took 26 rounds of chemo, she always had hope if she took the full dose it would slow down the cancer. She put up an amazing fight up until the last month, never complained, had her affairs in order.
