My WHY this year is my mom RoseMary who died this year from complications arising out of a recurrence of her cancer. This is the fifth year I am cycling 560 miles from New York City to Niagara Falls to raise money for cancer research. It has always been personal. Last year was particularly difficult for my family, losing my mom's sister and watching my mom and dad battle cancer. The list of close friends and family who have battled cancer and lost is too long to list here. I wear their names on my jersey. The love they have shown me my entire life powers me as does the love I experienced from those we already lost. .When we riders are climbing the hills, pushing along the ribbons of roadway, feeling the pain in our legs and burning in our lungs - I will think of them and what it means to have true pain. Please support me in this endeavor. Help raise the funds that go to the ongoing need for research to beat this disease that has effected all of us. Be as generous as you can. Thank you.
