This is my third year riding for Roswell Park, supporting their mission to cancer research, treatment and to help find a cure.
Cancer has unfortunately loomed over my family for as long as I can remember. My mother first underwent treatment for breast cancer right after my birth in 1996. Both of my Grandmothers, Amelia Roman (2018) & Margaret Kinzly (1996), lost their battles to cancer. The fear of cancer effecting my family, or myself, has always been present. I believe that institutions like Roswell Park provide some shielding from those fears, providing hope, and telling us that a diagnosis does not mean an end, but instead a challenge that can be overcome.
This year, I hope to challenge myself to meet my aggressive donation goal of over $2,500 while also challenging myself physically to reach a new personal record on the 65 mile ride.
I am riding in Honor of my Mother, Elaine Roman, who is currently on her third battle with cancer. I am also riding in memory of my Grandmothers, Amelia Roman & Margaret Kinzly.
Please support me in my mission to raise funds for Roswell Park by donating to my page. By reaching the $2,500 mark, I will be able to participate in the Peloton on Friday, June 21st. No amount is too small, please contribute anything you can!
