On Saturday, June 24, 2023, I will be participating in The Ride for Roswell! The Ride is Western New York’s largest cycling event benefiting the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. My brother and I will be completing a 44-mile Ride through Canada and Western New York this year.
With one in two men and one in three women in America being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, most of us know someone who has been affected by this devastating disease. You can make a difference by supporting me in The Ride for Roswell. Funds raised through The Ride support cutting-edge research and compassionate, innovative patient care programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Roswell Park Cancer Institute is known internationally for its' research and cancer care.
Cancer has claimed the lives of several of my relatives over my lifetime. I have had several skin lesions removed. I was fortunate in that the lesions were recognized early and received prompt treatment. My brother-in-law and a good friend of mine are still battling a form of cancer that affects the bone marrow. Two of my cousins have been diagnosed with cancer. I have a friend of mine was diagnosed and successfully treated for cancer, but he has a long recuperation period ahead of him. I have another relative that has been diagnosed with leukemia.
I have been extremely fortunate to have family and friends that support me during the rides. I am also very fortunate for the family, friends, and good Samaritans that have supported me by making donations. I have no words that I can use to express my gratitude to each of you.
I have raised $200 of my fundraising goal of $1,000. I would like to at least reach or exceed my goal. Please consider donating. No donation is too small and in fact, Roswell Park is able to leverage additional donations in new grant funding for every dollar donated.
I hope that you would please consider joining me in making a difference.
Thank you for your support! Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
