The Empire State Ride is more than a bike ride. In July, I am cycling over 500 miles to help raise money for cancer research and care.
Cancer, particularly Leukemia, has had a huge impact in my family. At 87, my mom decided not to have treatment after being diagnosed with Leukemia, but three of my brothers have all benefited from cutting edge treatments for Leukemia like the ones supported by Roswell Park. All three are now survivors living cancer free!
Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer. This is my opportunity to make a difference and impact cancer research from the seat of my bike. Together, we can fuel groundbreaking discoveries and bring an end to this terrible disease.
