Gal on the Go on a mission!
The Empire State Ride is more than just a bike ride.
In July, I will cycle over 500 miles across New York in seven days to help raise awareness and funds for Roswell cancer research. This year will be my second time doing the ride.
Why? Because on March 24, my cousin David, a kind and devoted father of three, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and on March 31, only eight days later, he died. NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Participating in ESR means a great deal because I cannot change the past, BUT I can help make a difference for those fighting cancer. I did the ride solo last year and had a genuine life-changing experience. I'm returning this year to honor my cousin's memory.
