Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
In the fall of 2021we learned our 10-month-old grandson, Jack, had Pediatric cancer! We also learned how tough our daughter, her husband, their daughter, and the entire family can be. What was really amazing was how Jack has fought this dreaded disease and continues to develop into such a wonderful person! Jack is truly our Superhero.
The Doctors, Nurses, technicians, aids and volunteers at Childrens Hospital and Roswell Park are truly incredible. There is no end to their caring and compassion. Because his surgeries were so complicated and unique, the Doctors at Roswell sent him to Boston's Children's Hospital where he received the best care anyone could hope for. After 3 surgeries in Boston, Jack is now in remission and is doing well. He still faces challenges resulting from his bilateral kidney cancer.
We also have had amazing support from family, friends, and the community.
That’s why "Grandpa Jack" is participating in the 2023 Ride for Roswell.
Please help "Jack Attack" raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding researchers need right now to investigate new treatment options that could save lives. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider donating today. Together, we can end cancer!
