This year my team is riding in memory of the greatest, most loving, kind hearted, strong, and gifted woman; Susan McCann.
I did not know of true grief or loss before last year. Time goes on, but your heart remains on that day. May 19th 2022, the day my Nannie became our angel in Heaven. There are so many things that I wish I could tell her, so many things I wish I could ask. I think the worst part is thinking of all the things she will be seeing from heaven in all of our lives, when she should be here with us. So much time was taken from my family because of Cancer.
Sue McCann was super nannie. She was the light that filled a room. Her smile was infectious and her laugh could turn the worst of moments into joy. She was selfless in every ounce of her body. I have never met anyone who really found the good in every situation, who truly put everyone's needs and happiness above her own. She was truly too good for this Earth. I can not find all the words that could even amount to how good she was, how loved she was, or how strong she was.
It breaks my heart to change this page from "in honor of" to "in memory of".. I never imagined a life without her. My team is raising money so that future generations will never have to know a life without their Nannie. Without their wife, sister, brother, mother, father, son, or daughter. A grief that I would not wish on anyone.
Thank you so much for donating, participating, or even sharing.
No matter what, I know she is still with us and cheering us on from Heaven. Miss you forever, Nannie.
