I ride for my dad, my "POPPY" who I lost to a glioblastoma brain tumor my freshman year of college. I could fill up this whole page on why my dad was the absolute best, but just know there is no father better, and everything I do in my life I do the best I can because of him. Especially becoming a new parent myself this past year. I channel my love for my dad into what I do every day as a mother, daughter and Nurse Manager at Roswell Park.
I ride for my STEP-FATHER who in thanks to Roswell Park is a Stage III metastatic melanoma survivor. Another brave, strong man who also has strongly influenced who I am today.
I ride for my GRANDMOTHER, who in thanks to Roswell Park and her transplant team is leukemia survivor. The matriarch of a family of 9 children, 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
I ride for my AUNT, who in thanks to Roswell Park is a breast cancer survivor.
I ride for my UNCLE in Vermont, who is a survivor of kidney cancer.
I ride for my UNCLE, who in thanks to Roswell Park is a lung cancer survivor.
I ride fro my GREAT AUNT, who we unfortunately lost in 2021, but with the proper conversations from the beginning, with her Roswell Park care team, was able to have the quality of life she wanted in her own home as she wished.
I ride for the PATIENTS who are so brave and an inspiration to me every single day. They are why I am so thankful to love what I do and give me purpose.
I ride for my COWORKERS who show up every day and strive to give the highest quality and compassionate care at Roswell Park, even amidst blizzards.
