I’m taking on a challenge - a challenge to push myself beyond my limits in order to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients. Indoor cycling is tough. But you know who is tougher? Cancer patients. So, I am doing this for them. If it's safe enough to do so, I will be doing a ride on the ice at canalside this March. If not safe, I am pledging to do several rides at home. Either way, my goal for the weekend of 3/19 and 3/20 is to ride 50 miles in some combo of cycling classes, and to raise $500 for Roswell Park.
Specifically, I am fundraising in honor of my amazing mom, Suzie Q, who has been kicking lung cancer's ass for the last few years. Along with her positive attitude, big smile, and life full of love, access to an experimental trial at Roswell Park helped her get to where she is today.
I am also riding in memory of my amazing partner Grey Cohen's brother Billy who I never had the chance to meet, but is still part of my family. The reason that it is so important to donate to this fight is so that more people have access to new life-saving treatment so that more families don't have to say goodbye way too soon.
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding that researchers need in order to investigate new treatment options that could save lives in our community and around the world. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider making a donation today to help find cures. Together, we can make a difference.
