On March 11, 2022, I’m joining Rebel Ride and hundreds of others in an outdoor spinning even to raise funds for ongoing research at Roswell Park. Think of it as a Ride for Roswell in the winter.
As much as I love the Ride for Roswell, this event excites me for other reasons. For starters, it will be outside in the middle of winter. That's AMAZING and exhilarating in itself. Also, I'm riding with my cousin Abby, a neuroblastoma cancer survivor and an all-around bad ass. She's also a spin instructor so the stars have aligned perfectly!
I'll be spinning with two specific people in mind this year: my cousin Abby and my Aunt Sue, who is currently fighting large B cell lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. My Aunt is one of the strongest women I know - physically, mentally, emotionally...all of it. I say this as she has previously battled and beat breast cancer and a different form of lymphoma. This is her third bout of cancer.
Having just retired from a very demanding career, she was planning for this next chapter of her life to involve quality time with those she loves most, sipping on good wine and traveling with no boundaries. Instead, she continues to take on treatment with an optimistic attitude and the endless fight to beat her third form of cancer.
Please consider making a donation to support my cousin Abby, my Aunt Sue or anyone in your circle that has been impacted by cancer. Thank you!
