The Ride for Roswell is so important to the Western New York community. We all care about making a difference in the future of cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. That is why I am riding in the 2024 Ride for Roswell on June 22.
In 2018 the Roswell Park Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program was officially launched! My mother, Kara Kelly, has helped lead this incredible and life-saving program which has provided the best and most cutting edge care to our youngest and most vulnerable patients with cancer and nonmalignant blood disorder. This has enabled patients and their families to stay in Western New York for treatments not previously available in our region.
On June 22 I will be riding to support these pediatric patients and their families! I appreciate any and all support as my mom and I Ride towards finding a cure for pediatric cancer and blood disorders.
With one in two men and one in three women in America being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, most of us know someone who has been affected by this devastating disease. I will be riding in honor of my own family members whose lives have been impacted by cancer, including my uncle, Jim Kelly, who lost his battle with brain cancer in 2006 and my grandmother, Marilyn Van Syckel, who passed away this February 2024 from uterine cancer.
You can make a difference by supporting me in The Ride For Roswell. Funds raised through The Ride support cutting-edge research and compassionate, innovative patient care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
Together – we can end cancer!
