Bicycling across New York State isn't for the faint of heart. It takes courage and a commitment to something greater than oneself.
On the 10th anniversary of Empire State Ride, I've committed to cycling more than 150 miles from Weedsport to Niagara Falls for one reason: to end cancer. This is my opportunity to help shape the future of cancer research and treatment while honoring everyone affected by cancer.
I am riding to honor my Dad who passed away in 2023 from cancer. He has been a big supporter of my cousin Kristen Burgmaster, who has ridden the full ESR multiple times. Mom and Dad would go out to cheer Kristen on and get ice cream when the route passes through Pittsford near their home. I'll be joining for the last 2 days of the ride which will include this stop.
On this milestone year, we'll be celebrating a decade of cancer breakthroughs as we ride toward a collective $10 million raised for innovative treatments and cutting-edge research.
Mile by mile, year by year, were getting closer to finding cures. Will you help us hit our goal of raising $10 million in 10 years?
