Jack was diagnosed at 10 months old-had a big belly suddenly and my mom gut rang loudly something was wrong. Hours later we were admitted to the oncology floor knowing he had tumors in both his kidneys and diagnosed with bilateral wilms. We met with Jacks incredible team from Roswell the next morning who discussed chemotherapy and surgeries and what we could expect. I (Jacks mom) am forever grateful for our team who is always willing to sit and talk, explain things, search for the best options, answer phone calls to ease nerves, and so much more. Jack needed 16 months of chemotherapy at Roswell and three surgeries at Boston children's hospital. He is in remission as December 20, 2022 and he is in remission due to the research that has been done to help find a cure. More research needs to continue to happen, more cures, cures that dont have devastatingside effects, cures that can save all types of cancers
