Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
This year I am riding in Honor of My dear cousin Karen. Karen is a loving mother and grandmother of 3 beautiful babies that she raises herself. She is the kind of person who would give up anything if it means helping anyone out. If she doesn't have it she will make sure she finds a way to get it for them. Karen has always been there for me, my brothers and sister. Karen was diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera which is a caner that affects her blood. She has been going through blood transfusions since her younger years. She recently also has been diagnosed with Endometrial Adenocarcinoma, uterine cancer. She has went through chemo and although she lost her hair which would bring some down, she rocked it! She was not letting anything make her feel like she was not a warrior. SHE IS A WARRIOR! This woman can make miracles happen even though life is throwing her every curve ball there is. She rang her 1st bell at Roswell 7-21-2022.
Karen is a true inspiration about life throwing you lemons and making lemonade. This is why I chose her. I am asking for sponsorships to help her and every other person going through this like she is. They are the true heros. #ACKLEYSTRONG
