Winter in Buffalo is tough, but you know who is tougher? Cancer patients and those affected by cancer. That’s why I’m stepping up to show my support and change the future of cancer as we know it.
This March, I’ll be turning up the heat and challenging myself at Buffalo’s coldest cycling event of the season — all to raise critically needed funds for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. I will be riding in honor of my Father, Chuck, and in memory of my Grandmother, Esther, and my husband’s best friend, Steven. My father taught me hard work and not giving up. My grandmother shared her love of George Straight with me. Steven taught me to live and love my life. I’m thankful every day my dad was able to beat Appendix Cancer, but there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about my Grandmother and Steven. I miss my Grandmother’s peanut butter pie and having Sunday dinner at her house. I miss Steven and my husband going line for line reciting Entourage and reminiscing over stories from their time at Oswego State. I know they are both watching over me and my family every day. Until we meet again
One in three Americans will develop cancer in their lifetime. Will you join me in making a difference by donating to my IceCycle fundraiser?
