Cancer isn’t just terrible, it is beyond our vocabulary to explain how much it affects everyone without any mercy. It can destroy a person and the people around them. Cancer is one of the things we can’t prevent, yet it affects many if not everyone. To the family, and friends who lost someone to cancer, they are left with a memory that hurts to replay in our head. My grandfather, Juan Manuel Ortiz Hernandez, had cancer during the most horrible time; COVID. He was not able to get the necessary treatment to safe him. Cancer prevented him from enjoying his life and made him miss important moments such as my Quince (important birthday), my wedding, or to see me and his grandchildren grow up. That is one of the reasons I am doing this, to at least help one person and help them avoid what happened to my grandfather. This is only one event but one donation, of any value, makes a difference.
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding researchers need right now to investigate new treatment options that could save lives. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider donating today. Together, we can end cancer!
