Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
But I care. I care about making a difference in the future of cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. That’s why I am participating in the 2022 Ride for Roswell.
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding researchers need right now to investigate new treatment options that could save lives. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Our Story with Roswell:
Hello everyone! I am raising money for the Ride for Roswell, a fundraiser very close to my heart. When I was in middle school, I found out my Nana had small-cell lung cancer. This is a very aggressive cancer and within a few years we found out my Nana might not have long to live. My Nana was the heart and soul of my family, and my parents, aunts and uncles wanted to do everything to make sure my Nana got to see her grandkids, me, my siblings, and my cousins, grow up. Luckily they found the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. It was then I started to hear words like experimental research, miracle drug and remission get thrown around! Suddenly my Nana’s prognosis went from months to years! She was even able to see me graduate high school. Although the word miracle gets thrown around a lot when people tell the story of my Nana’s strength. It cannot be overstated enough that this was not the result of a miracle, this was the result of the medical research being done at Roswell Park. Although my Nana has since passed away, she went on to live years past what the doctors had expected because of the research and dedication of the scientists at Roswell Park. They gave my family the invaluable gift of time with our Nana and while we can never thank them enough for that gift, we can donate money to their cancer research fund to help give other families the same gift. That is where the Ride for Roswell comes in.
Every year my family participates in the fundraiser, we ride our bikes while accepting donations to help fund Roswell Park’s cancer research. The research they do there is monumental! I really hope you consider donating to our team to help fund the research that will save lives and grant families like mine the gift of time!
Please consider donating today. Together, we can end cancer!
