My name is Jackson. I am a member of the YRoswell Street Team. Yroswell’s Street Team is made up of high school and college students from schools across Western New York who share a common goal of creating a world without cancer.
My Grandma lost the battle to liver cancer 6 years ago, she was the calm force in our often chaotic household, and always provided sage advice. Her passing was too soon and I miss her more everyday. My mom works at Roswell in the IT research team, where she pushes to discover a cure to cancer. Day in and day out she strives for her mom and every other cancer patient, whether still fighting or those who have succumbed. Because of this I was inspired to join the YRoswell street team and participate in the Ride for Roswell. I am riding this year for my Grandma and in her memory.
Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
But I care. I care about making a difference in the future of cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. That’s why I am participating in the 2023 Ride for Roswell.
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding researchers need right now to investigate new treatment options that could save lives. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider donating today. Together, we can end cancer!
