October 29th, 2021, the day I got the infamous phone call, you have Cancer. We all know people who have been impacted by cancer but never truly expect it to happen to us. I was devastated, I am a statistic, I thought, I am one of the three people that will be been diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
Not knowing what to do, my wife, Lisa and sister-in-law Debbie, insisted we 'Spend One Day at Roswell". I’m not sure if I would be here to this year if it wasn't for the treatment I received at Roswell.
This fundraiser is personal as I have battled stomach cancer and am currently recovering and in good health. I rode 30 miles last year and will be doing it again! Although a healthy person, Chemotherapy has a way of changing your body in ways you can't imagine. But the end goal is a cure.
Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
Please consider donating today. Together, we can end cancer!
