Ride with Pride
May 25th, 2021. It would have been my beloved Grandfather's 81st birthday. Sergio D'Abronzo died from colon cancer within 2 months of the diagnosis. He was the living example of a kind, lighthearted, generous and loving soul. He was like a father to me.
The Empire State Ride is more than just a bike ride. In July, 2022 I am cycling over 500 miles across New York State to end cancer.
I am making this effort not only in name of my Grandfather, but also my grandmother, Gizelda D'Abronzo, once a breast cancer survivor and who just recently lost her battle with the disease, after 9 long years. Also riding in memory of my Aunt, Tia Nadir, and to support my other Aunt, Graciela, who is currently under treatment at the moment. My family has been greatly affected by cancer. Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by it as well. This is my opportunity to make a real difference and impact cancer research from the seat of my bike. Together, we can fuel groundbreaking discoveries and bring an end to it.
Please consider making a donation to my efforts today. No donation is too small, and every dollar adds up to something greater than what any one of us could ever accomplish alone. Together, we can make a difference!
With gratitude,
Ariane Brabant
