Ride for Roswell 2024: Mrs. Laura Blocho

For years I have attended this event with my mom and kids to support my family riding, specifically my aunt that was fighting cancer. It was my kick-off to summer; another chance to spend time with my loved ones and be thankful that my aunt was successfully fighting cancer!

Roswell took care of my aunt. Roswell is currently taking care of my father-in-law. Roswell took care of and takes care of so many of your loved ones.

Three years ago, Roswell helped my father-in-law successfully beat cancer for a third time. When it returned in the summer of 2022, his options for treatment were limited. He received a rare procedure at Roswell last fall and is now battling a secondary cancer. It has been an uphill battle that he continues to fight hard. Without Roswell, he wouldn't be here today. We are so thankful!

Roswell helped my aunt through cancer twice. When she started chemotherapy for a third time in the spring of 2019, she continued to be a positive inspiration to all of us. She passed away in August 2019. She fought cancer with a strength, dignity, and fire that amazed us all. She simply never quit. She was a warrior. I think about her daily and continue to talk to my children about her so they will remember her fondly like I do.

This year Benny and I are riding for the 5th time. We can't wait to cross the finish line in memory of Diane Musial and in honor of "Grandpa Bud". My aunt was the most genuinely humble, kind, and positive person I've known. She was loved by family and many close friends. She was taken from us far too soon.

Grandpa Bud is our Mr Fix-It and go-to guy for laughs and fun and adventures! He is also Benny's #1 fan attending every hockey game & practice! We are so thankful he continues to fight everyday! It wouldn't be possible without your donations and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Roswell Park!
