As you probably know, I have been passionate about working in oncology since I was a medical assistant in a GYN Oncology office in college. I am fortunate enough to be able to work as a Physician Assistant in the Gynecologic Oncology Department at Roswell Park. Every day, I see the effects that cancer has on my patients and their families - mentally, emotionally and physically. Although cancer takes a significant toll on all those it impacts, there are good days. Days when I am able to give patients good test results, days when we are able to tell patients that they have completed chemotherapy and they are finally able to ring the bell, signifying that they do not have any evidence of disease. It is these days that give me hope.
At Roswell Park, we are constantly looking for new and better ways to treat cancer. Through the research that is performed here, we are hoping to make a difference, to improve treatments and to help patients to survive, to find cures for diseases that have taken so much from so many. This seems like a tremendous goal, but there are ways that we can all help.
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding that researchers need in order to investigate new treatment options that could save lives in our community and around the world. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
I am riding for my patients, for my grandparents, and for everyone who's lives have been touched by cancer. Please consider making a donation today to help find cures. Together, we can make a difference.
