Ride for Roswell 2023: Mr. Mark McDonough

Everyone's life has been touched by cancer in one way or another. Whether they've lost loved ones, watched a friend or neighbor in the fight or faced a diagnosis themselves, cancer seems to be the one awful thing we all have in common.

I've been lucky enough to enjoy a big family and a great community of friends throughout my life. During that time, I've seen dozens of those family members and friends battle several different kinds of cancer, and we lost too many of them. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have my health, and I intend to use it as best as I can.

I'm not a doctor or a scientist. I can't work in clinics or in labs and help find new ways to treat and cure all kinds of cancer. But I do have a bike and some time this Summer.

This June, I'm joining the Ride for Roswell to raise funds to fuel the amazing work happening every day at Roswell Park. I want to do what I can to make sure those researchers have the resources they need to make crucial discoveries and develop groundbreaking treatments that will ultimately give hope to everyone who has yet to find out they have cancer.

Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year.
