Empire State Ride 2022

I am participating in the 2022 Empire State Ride as a means of “paying it forward” by raising funds for cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Through my own battle with cancer, I’ve witnessed advances in cancer treatment coming out of top-notch research centers like Roswell Park. In the past year, myself and thousands of others have benefited from newly FDA approved diagnosis and treatment technologies only available in clinical trials when I was first diagnosed in 2018.  Your donation will help pay for active clinical trials for people with limited other options, drastically need. These trials will prove the safety and effectiveness of new therapies and save people's lives worldwide. One dollar donated for research will result in thirteen dollars of additional funding. 

The Empire State Ride was a motivational focus for me in 2019 when I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer followed by surgery late 2018.  Training for the 2019 ride was a means of recovering and showing cancer who was stronger.  The cancer returned in late 2021 and now I’m finishing up 40 radiation sessions to fight cancer off a second time.  Due to the treatments, I'm currently unable to ride my bike, but my goal is to kick cancer's butt and ride my bike 500+ plus miles across my home state of New York.
