The Empire State Ride is more than just a bike ride. For me it is a personal commitment to my family members who have been affected by cancer.
In July 2019, my Dad passed away from pancreatic cancer right before I took on my first Empire State Ride. I look back at what my Dad did for others and quickly realized I wanted to do more to help people affected by this horrendous disease. This is my way to honor him and all he did for others. He approached life as people-first. I think we all can take a page from his book.
Nearly 3 years ago, my father in law fought and lost his battle with cancer. I can think of no better way to honor his life than to support Roswell. He was an amazing man who took me on as a son. Like my father, you couldn't ask for a more giving person. I ride for him to honor his life and the legacy he left behind.
Even though my reasons for doing this ride are personal, they don't necessarily have to be. It's ok to support a cause simply because you want to help. That’s why we ride.
Please consider making a donation to my efforts today. No donation is too small. Let’s make a difference together. I look forward to sharing my adventures as I train for this amazing ride! Thank you for your support!
