On the 10th anniversary of Empire State Ride, I’ve committed to cycling more than 500 miles from NYC to Niagara Falls for one reason: to help end cancer. This is my opportunity to help a cause and a community while honoring those affected by cancer. It is a challenge of physical and mental strength that makes you reach deep into your soul for every pedal to make it one more mile, up one more hill, to last one more day to ultimately complete the journey for those currently fighting the battle & for those who lost the battle. It is a journey of hope!
Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer and as many of you know, I joined the ranks of cancer survivors after I was diagnosed in August 2017. Although, I am no longer in active treatment, the impact of cancer never leaves. I will be riding in memory of family and friends who have lost their lives to this horrible disease, for the survivors, and the warriors that are still fighting.
On this milestone year, we’ll be celebrating a decade of cancer breakthroughs as we ride toward a collective $10 million raised for innovative treatments and cutting-edge research.
Mile by mile, year by year, we're getting closer to finding cures. Will you help us hit our goal of raising $10 million in 10 years?
Supporting the fighters,
Admiring the survivors,
Honoring the taken, &
Never ever giving up hope!
