No one ever wants to need a major cancer center. But in 2019 we did and thanks to the work of Dr. Michael Petroziello and Dr. Eric Kauffman, it was determined that my husband Paul's kidney tumor was benign and the kidney was saved!
In 2020 I joined the Ride for Roswell for the first time as a way to give back. Although COVID-19 changed the format of the event, under the very capable leadership of my dear friend Anne our team had a fun and successful ride and raised over $10,000 for the cause. In 2021 our team again accomplished this goal.
Last year I set and accomplished the goal of becoming an Extra Mile Club member, raising over $1000 for this worthy cause. The 2022 ride was also my first time riding in the traditional (pre-pandemic) format. It was a thrill to attend the opening ceremonies, participate in the parade, and witness the arrival of the peloton riders. This helped me understand the bigger picture, way beyond our team effort.
I care about making a difference in the future of cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. I believe in the work of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. That's why I am riding in the 2023 Ride for Roswell!
Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding that researchers need in order to investigate new treatment options that could save lives in our community and around the world. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider making a donation today to help find cures. Together, we can make a difference.
