That's the American Cancer Association's estimate for the U.S. in 2023. Over the course of the year, there will be an estimated 1,958,310 new cases and 609,820 cancer deaths. And that isn't even counting other countries.
It's the cruelest of diseases, and it doesn't care if you're 6 or 60 - it can rear its ugly head at any time.
Researchers continue working, but cancer research is a marathon, not a sprint. Roswell needs funding to keep the energy going.
