Last year I was a Massage Therapist on the ride. Everyday I saw different people on my table, and all of which had something in common, they were all touched somehow by cancer. Seeing each of these road warriors everyday has inspired me to jump on a bike and ride it with them.
Did you know, donations are put to immediate use to increase the pace from research trials into improved clinical care, to ensure state-of-the-art facilities, and to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families? Together, we can raise money for research to help find cures and make advanced medicine available for those who are able to take advantage of it.

Why ride instead of massaging this year?
Man I would be lying to say that I'm a little bummed I am not massaging each AMAZING road warrior, I am so excited to ride with them! Everytime one of those warriros got on our tables, we heard the stories why they are riding, who they were riding for, everything. Everytime someone came up I thought "why am I not out there with them?!" So, it was settled, 2024 was my year to do it. And no better year then the 10 year anniversary!?
I'd by lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous for this ride, but I know the AMAZING support given along the way will on keep me going strong!

Where does the raised money go?
Some of us probably wonder, if we raise $1,000,000 where does it all go? This question often left me perplexed. Where did all that money go?
It wasn't until I watched a documentary on Jim Valvano (and yes I am going to bring him up alot) that I realized how much research costs. In this documentary, he explains how he would walk the halls at night while he was in treatment, and he came across a man in a lab late at night. He explained to Jim that he had to finish his research up by the end of the week, otherwise he would lose funds and would have to start over or end the research. Because of that, Jim just months before his death, started the Jimmy V foundation to help fund cancer research. With his efforts, and the funds of so many amazing individuals, he has helped create trials and cures for cancers...including his very own daughters.
Research is what keeps trials and cures on the rise. Help us raise those funds to keep our loved ones who are battling here with us longer!
