When I heard that a few of my buddies from Hospice Buffalo were participating in the Empire State Ride, I thought of my dear friend and mentor Bob Milch. With Bob's guidance, there are countless doctors and nurses in Buffalo and beyond who have been inspired by his training and example. Many of those healthcare providers work at Roswell Park Cancer Institute where I was a patient during my own cancer journey eight years ago.
I am joining my friends from the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care for just one day of this epic journey. I will be riding the 98 miles between Albany and Utica. (This is the longest day and the greatest elevation change of the week long trip.) This is my opportunity to make a difference and impact cancer research from the seat of my bike.
Please consider donating to my efforts today. No donation is too small, and every dollar adds up to something greater than what any one of us could ever accomplish alone. Join me in making a difference and honoring Robert Milch, MD.
