The lives of many of my family members and coworkers have been devastated by cancer throughout my lifetime, young and old. I witness improvements and increased survival rates of cancer victims on a continual basis, but much more needs to be done.
Almost every person I know has been affected by cancer directly or indirectly. I am riding in honor of loved ones, friends and coworkers affected by or lost to this horrible disease. I have been riding in the "Ride" for the last 11 years. This year I am participating in The Ride for Roswell 65-mile Country Route on Saturday, June 24, 2023 to help raise money to fight for them.
Almost 40 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer of any site at some point during their lifetime. In 2018, 1,708,921 new cancer cases were reported and 599,265 people died of cancer in the United States. For every 100,000 people, 436 new cancer cases were reported and 149 people died of cancer.
Please help me raise critically needed funds for cutting-edge cancer research and compassionate patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Your donation to my ride will provide the funding that the researchers at Roswell Park need to investigate new treatment options that can save lives. These therapies can provide cutting-edge treatment choices to patients in our own community and in cancer centers worldwide.
Every single dollar helps - no donation is too small!! You can make a difference in the fight against cancer by supporting my fundraising efforts.
Please consider donating today to help me reach (and exceed) my fundraising goal. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
