I’m sure many of you already make significant contributions to charities (keep it up!!)…and I always feel awkward asking friends and family to contribute…but The Ride for Roswell is such good cause.
Cancer, unfortunately, touches so many of our lives. Heartbreaking and devastating to so many.
As many of you know, I lost my Wife (my Best Friend) to brain cancer a few months ago. She truly was a warrior in her battle against cancer. She fought hard, and I am so impressed and inspired by her attitude and positive approach throughout her battle. I miss her fiercely.
Following her initial diagnosis and subsequent treatment, I witnessed first hand the amazingly talented physicians and staff at work each and every time we went in for an appointment. Mylene and I felt so very fortunate to have Roswell in our community. The care and compassion that the Neuro team extended to her was touching - and I am so grateful to those in the Neuro clinic.
I’ve participated many times in the Ride for Roswell. But now it is sadly much more personal. I now ride for my wife...along with others that I know that have passed (sadly from brain cancer as well) as well as survivors including several close friends.
Thank you doctors and researchers for the modern medical miracles that are giving warriors and their families more hope and extending lives!!!
The Big C sucks and The Ride For Roswell raises funds to help patients fight and gives doctors more and more resources to try and defeat this frustrating disease.
This year, I am riding with a team that has raised $185,000 (!!!) over the past five years to help fight cancer and has consistently been one of the top fundraising teams. I’m honored to be part of that team.
Once again, this year’s Ride has many Covid related limitations, but our team will ride on the day of the event (8/7 - doing our own ride so we can be together).
If you are able and wanting to contribute...please consider supporting me in The Ride For Roswell. Funds raised through The Ride support cutting-edge research and compassionate, innovative patient care programs at Roswell. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
With Love and Gratitude,
