In the US, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Let's work together to help find a cure!
Why would anyone ride 540+ miles from New York City to Niagara Falls? It’s to raise much needed funds for life saving cancer research while honoring family, friends and co-workers that have heard those three awful words.
In 2008 I lost my mom to breast and lung cancer. She lived just four weeks after her diagnosis. Since then I lost my first cousin to pancreatic cancer, my father-in-law to colon cancer, my closest college friend to brain cancer and many other family and friends have been impacted by this dreaded disease. Everyone knows someone that will be touched by cancer.
There are too many people in my circle that are fighting or fought this disease. And riding my bike is what I can do to help raise awareness and funds for research in the fight against cancer. You can help me make a difference. I look forward to the day when the three dreaded words “You have cancer” will be just a memory.

Please note all proceeds from the Empire State Ride go directly to fund promising cancer research initiatives including a first-of-its-kind brain cancer vaccine, new therapies for ovarian cancer which is a disease that is typically very hard to treat and breakthroughs in immunotherapy which has greatly improved treatment for lung cancer.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center shares their research with major cancer centers across the U.S. and is bringing these cutting-edge treatments with hospitals across New York State including 8 hospitals on Long Island. For more info on the care network: www.roswellpark.org/carenetwork
