We all know someone whose life has been affected by cancer – whether personally, a friend, or a loved one. Cancer sucks! I am again riding with my Uncle Joe's name on my back, but this year in his memory. He lost his battle with liver cancer last summer. He fought so hard for the last few years, and I firmly believe we had him for longer than expected because of Roswell. He will always be my hero, and people like him are my inspiration for participating in the Ride. People like him are the reason I ride. I ride for those who cannot. I say this every year, but it’s true – I am always awestruck by the community coming together for such a great cause – fighters, survivors, friends, family, and supporters. All riding with the same hope – that one day a cure will be found. That's how many lives cancer affects, and that is why we must support the critical cancer research and patient care programs that Roswell offers.
