With one in two men and one in three women in America being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, most of us know someone who has been affected by this devastating disease. As you know this disease has touched my family deeply. My mom passed away from lung cancer in January 2013 and that following year, Donna was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer. Six months after successful cancer surgery; during her scheduled CT Scan in November 2015 we learned the news that the Colorectal cancer had metastasized to her lungs. It's been a little over a year since Donna went home to Jesus peacefully in her sleep after her 6 year journey.
So this is why I "Ride for Roswell", in hope that the money I raise will help find new treatments to help all those who are still on their journey. I'm also riding this year for the cause to lower the age for testing as there is a high rate of younger people being diagnosed with this form of cancer. We are very grateful for the doctors and nurses at Roswell Park and their exhaustive efforts through assistance from the Roswell Park Alliance. I truly believe they gave Donna the best of care and extended her life. You can make a difference by supporting me in The Ride For Roswell. Funds raised through The Ride support this cutting-edge research and compassionate, innovative patient care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This 26th anniversary ride has a new date on August 7, 2021 with socially distanced rides at several starting locations. Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
