Hello family & friends!
This is my eighth year participating in the Ride for Roswell, and I hope you'll once again join me in supporting medical professionals and scientists as they help people like my husband Bill fight cancer.
As you know, Bill was diagnosed eight years ago with multiple myeloma, an incurable cancer of the plasma cells. Over the last year, so many of our family and friends have been diagnosed with cancer and are undergoing treatment. I'm riding to honor all of them and our late cousins, Tim Downs and John Penrod, and our late friend Charlie O'Neill, the namesake of our team.
My goal this year is to raise $5,000 to support Roswell and all of its current and future patients.
We're grateful to the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, scientists and other professionals at Roswell, because their efforts are allowing Bill to lead a full life. We attend our grandchildren's sports games. We can travel. As I write this, we're headed to New York City for a few days, and recently returned from Florida, where we spent six weeks at the invitation of my brother, Fred. For Bill, doing these things while fighting a cancer that leaves him immunocompromised is possible in large part because of the guidance, expertise and care of the experts at Roswell.
If you're able to join me in supporting Roswell, I'll be grateful for your donation.
With gratitude and love,
Denise
