Last year I participated in the 20 mile ride at UB as well as riding throughout the summer and fall for everyone on my list. I dedicated the entire ride to Janel, who I think of often, especially since we just had her 10 year anniversary. I have so many happy memories of our friendship and am thankful she allowed me to be a part of her cancer journey. I also ride a mile for everyone on my list: survivors of cancer, those we lost, family members and those fighting cancer. I rode a total of 90 miles just in case I missed anyone. I often rode in my neighborhood, carrying my list whenever I rode. Some of those on the "fighter" list have moved on to the survivor list. Unfortunately, a few lost the battle and some joined this battle for the first time. I found riding for each person to be energizing! So, I will ride again for Janel and everyone on my list throughout the spring, summer and fall. At the end of this quest, I will celebrate the lives of these brave people with a small group of friends.
If you would like to donate to my ride, you can go directly to my page at the Ride For Roswell website, send a check to the Ride For Roswell foundation, or send a check directly to me and I will forward it on.
Thanks for any future contributions and those in the past. IF YOU HAVE ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO ADD TO MY LIST, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I'll just add more miles!
Please pray for all those touched by cancer.
Stay healthy and well!
