Cancer doesn’t care. It doesn’t care about age. It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind. 

This year I am riding in memory of one of my very close friends, Cindy Bates.  Cindy loved to attend live music at local bars.  Over the years Cindy and I attended countless local venues to watch local bands and of course drink.  Cindy just passed away on May 23, 2024 from Cancer.  I took her to the Emergency Room on April 30 at which time I had no idea she had cancer.  She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer two weeks later and a little more than one week later she was gone.
