Hi! I've been riding in the Ride for Roswell for quite a few years in honor and/or memory of friends and co-workers who have battled cancer. I had a pretty good family history regarding cancer, and I was very appreciative of that. Everything changed in 2013 when my sister was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive, and incurable form of cancer. She had surgery and started chemo. She had done several types and rounds of chemo by June of 2014, when our Dad was also diagnosed with cancer. His cancer was in stage IV, and he only lasted for about 2 months, passing away on his birthday in August of 2014. My sister fought for another 8 months, but passed away in April of 2015. Since then, I have had more friends and co-workers that were diagnosed with cancer, had a recurrence of cancer, or have been lost to cancer. I'm sick of it! I will ride again this year to help raise funds for research, treatment, and hopefully A CURE for cancer! Please consider riding, or making a donation, to help Roswell Park Cancer Institute find new treatments and A CURE! Thank you!
