I feel blessed to know so many of you who support finding cure, giving HOPE to others, and who donated towards my Ride for Roswell for the past 8 years. Your kindness, generosity, beautiful messages will always be in my heart.
I hope this year support will help us cross that „finish line”!
When donating please include a name of a person who you would like to honor or you would like me to Ride in Memory of. I will have all names with me on a Ride day attached to my t-shirt.
HERE IS WHY I RIDE:
I ride in memory of my husband Andrzej ( Kochanie/ Skarbek/ The Family Man/ The Legend) celebrating his life, raising funds to give HOPE to others as it was provided to us by Roswell during our final stages of five year journey.
Sports always played significant role in my family life. There is almost always a winner and a loser at the end of the contest. It falls short when applied to an illness like cancer. I’ve learned during my husband illness that cancer has no rules, no time outs, no substitutions, no game clock – it operates by its own mysterious playbook that we have yet to master.
When we were surrounded by cancer, we saw a lot of suffering and at that time I realized that we have a chance, but also a choice to celebrate the things that outlive them. The things death can’t steal, like the power of the human spirit, the power of the human bond, and the kindness of people! The worst of times become at those moments – the most beautiful. So many things we complain about on daily basis became so insignificant.
At that time the best defense was to look beyond the narrow view of “winning or loosing” as an outcome. We need to recognize that there is a higher, a sacred path that allows us to transform from being a victim of the disease to becoming a craftsman of our own life.
When you are on this sacred path of illness there is no such thing as loosing of the bottle, only a refining and shaping of what really matters in our life… family, friends, the ability to love, care and to live each moment with meaning, like there is no tomorrow!
Please treasure each moment of your life with people you love and care for, family, friends. Tell them how much they mean to you, how much you care and love them!!! Tomorrow may never come…
You can make a difference, PLEASE DONATE TODAY, every dollar counts. There is no too small or too large donation, please do what you can and simply show that… you care!
Thank you!
