On July 8, 2017, my niece Kelsey died after a two-year fight against brain cancer. Her fight belonged also to our whole family, and especially to her mom, dad, and sister. Through it all, we were lucky to be part of a care team that helped Kelsey and our family maintain as much "normalcy" and quality of life as possible.
My Ride team, Kids Just Want To Have Fun, focuses it's efforts on quality of life initiatives that benefit young people like Kels. They donate additional money for every dollar I raise, and do so for all other team members, too.
Additionally, for every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding.
These are both fantastic reasons to donate to my Ride, in honor of Kels or anyone in your life who's had to face cancer. Let's see how much good we can do together in fighting this stupid disease.
Thanks, my friends.
