So it is that time again, I will be participating in the Ride For Roswell, for the 9th time!!
8 years ago, 20 days before the Ride, my father-in-law was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He went thru treatment 7 years ago and has had a few check ups since then, still doing great.
3 years ago, my dad was also diagnosed with prostate cancer, he has also made it successfully thru treatment.
I really believe in this place and will continue to raise money and participate in the Ride for years to come. Any advancement Roswell makes will benefits everyone all over the world. I was taught growing up to help when you can. If everyone thought like this, this world would be a better place.
Everyone is affected by this disease, whether it's a you, a family member, friend, etc. It was just so sad and heartbreaking. They and everyone affected is the reason I ride. I still believe that if everyone tries a little and gives a little and believes a little, we can make a difference and help work toward finding a cure to this awful disease that affect so many, completely unfairly. It doesn't discriminate, everyone is a target.
With one in two men and one in three women in America being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, most of us know someone who has been affected by this devastating disease. You can make a difference by supporting me in The Ride For Roswell. Funds raised through The Ride support cutting-edge research and compassionate, innovative patient care programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
