Our team, Team Jess' Journey, has a close bond with Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and the connection runs deep in my heart. In June 2020, my sister-in-law and the namesake of our team, Jessica, was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Witnessing her strength inspired our team to ride in her honor, kickstarting our shared commitment to the Ride for Roswell.
Throughout the years, Jessica was fortunate to access crucial treatment programs, made possible by the generosity of those who supported the Ride for Roswell. Their donations provided hope and healing for Jessica, illustrating the tangible impact of our collective efforts.
But our connection with Roswell Park didn't end there. In March 2021, I found myself becoming a patient at Roswell, undergoing a partial thyroidectomy on April 21. A few weeks later, the diagnosis came - multifocal papillary thyroid cancer. In June 2021, I faced a second surgery to remove the rest of my thyroid.
Now, I turn to you with a heartfelt plea: Help me raise critically needed funds to support the thousands of patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation fuels the research needed to explore new treatment options, potentially saving lives not only in our community but around the world.
And here's a powerful fact: for every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $23 in new grant funding!
Our family is forever grateful to Roswell, its dedicated doctors, nurses, volunteers, and countless others who have walked this journey with us. Most importantly, THANK YOU to all our donors, for your generosity is a beacon of hope for so many patients and future warriors in this battle.
If you haven't donated yet, please consider making a donation today. Together, we can make a difference, bringing us one step closer to finding cures and putting an end to the devastation caused by cancer.
