January 20, 2023
Supporter & Friend,
I have registered. for my 8th year the 2023 Ride For Roswell. I am dedicating this years ride to the Memory of "Tom McFaul," a great friend, that lost his battle this past September , to Cancer. In addition to Tom, Cancer last year, also claimed 3 former working associates. FYI, I am still recovering from, my 2 surgeries for a torn tendon of my right knee and still will not be able to actually ride June 24, but between today and then will ride 100 miles, on a stationary bike in the gym and rehab. As of today 3/27 I have completed the 100 miles and have started another 100 miles. My goal is to raise to raise $5,000. Last year, I raised $5,000 in Honor of my sister in law Terry, a breast cancer and heart transplant survivor. My brother calls her his TIMEX, she keeps on ticking. A brick with her name on it, will be placed in the Kaminski Park, this summer. It is my goal this year, to earn another brick with Tom's name on it.
Cancer did not take a break due to the Covid pandemic. CANCER, does not care who you are & STRIKES DAILY.
As one of the nation’s largest cycling events, the Ride is a powerful reminder that each of us can make a difference. Funds raised go directly to cutting-edge cancer research and quality of life programs that help patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and around the world. Each donation brings us one step closer to ending cancer.
I have set a personal fundraising goal of $5,000 and need your help to reach it. No donation is too small — in fact, every dollar donated to research at Roswell Park can be leveraged for an additional $13 in new grant funding! If you are able to, please consider joining me in making a difference by supporting my ride.
