Time to focus on something more positive. I will be participating in the 2021 Empire State Ride. This is about much more than just riding a bicycle. In July 2021, I will be cycling over 500+ miles across New York State to end cancer. Covid19 cancelled the 2020 ride so 2021 will mark my 2nd attempt at the Empire State ride and 14th year supporting Roswell Park Cancer Research.
Everyone knows someone whose life has been impacted by cancer. This is my opportunity to make a real difference and impact the state of cancer research from the seat of my bicycle. I have personally donated enough funds to cover the cost of my ride. When you donate to support my fundraising campaign, 100% of your donation is going to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. On average, every dollar donated to Roswell Park leads to an additional $13 in new grant funding! I ride for those that cannot ride for themselves. I ride to remember. My 2021 Empire State ride will be in loving memory my mom and dad Edward and Mary Sawicki, my brother Michael Sawicki, Gramma Helen Nawrocki, uncle Richard Nawrocki, Uncle Bill Dougherty, Chester Glinski, Jimmy “DOC” Glinski, Paul Glinski, Barbara Glinski, Kathy Glinski, Lenny D Zak, Stanley Zak and Theresa Zak and all of those no longer with us.
No donation is too small, and every dollar adds up to something greater than what any one of us could ever accomplish alone. Please join me in making a difference. Donations can be made through my Facebook fundraiser or you can goto EMPIRESTATERIDE.COM , click “donate to a rider” and search for my name: Robert Sawicki. Click “Donate Now”.
