HERE WE GO YEAR 13 !
The Ride:
Last year my kiddos (and my main man, Tim P) CRUSHED a 20 mile ride. Couldn't be more proud of the then 8- and 9-year-olds for their commitment and resilience. They had a great time and are coming back for another 20 this year! And now, AJ is 9 and Ray 10, they're understanding more and more what cancer is and how it affects so many people. We're so honored to ride in support of so many people.
And for the third year now, I will be joining the Peloton Ride and Celebration of Hope with another main man, Ryan Coyne. Hoping for no rain this year!
Who I Ride For:
In 2022, our cousin Dana was diagnosed with breast cancer. Latest reports have her through treatment and on the other side, doing very well! Then, last year the sister of my main man Tim, Julie, started her battle but also seems to be through the worst and doing pretty well now. The advances in cancer research and treatment are helping so many people!
Here is the growing list, but know there are more people quietly undergoing evaluation and treatment that we keep in our thoughts and prayers.
- In Support of: Luanne Strusa, Julie Weston, Dana Aevermann, Victoria Coyne, Jen Farmer, Nancy Giamberardino
- In Honor of Survivors: Anita Fashana, Carly Marrs, Marilyn D'Agostino, Laurie Jones, Vic Carucci, Kristy Meyers, Lauren Vargo, Kathy Strusa, Joe Marcello
- In Memory of: Kevin Hays (2021), Nancy Vargo (2018), Captain Tom Diehl (2017), Nicholas O'Neil (2016), Deputy Sheriff Joe Joseph (2011)
Why I Ride:
Cancer just sucks. And it's incredible how many people are impacted and that our medical pros haven't conquered it yet. That means we must continue to pump every ounce of energy and support we can to aid in the fight.
Fundraising Total:
A humbling $25,675 over the past 12 years of being a rider.
I greatly appreciate your support. And to the many of you that have contributed in the past and continue to support my efforts, thank you and God Bless.
