Hi! My name is Sydney Dobmeier.
I am 14 years old, and this is already my eleventh year doing the Ride for Roswell.
And, just like the last three years, I will be joined by my team, the Warriors on Wheelz! We are all very excited to ride again as a team this year and raise as much money as we can to help those fighting with cancer!
Warriors on Wheel is a team part of Team West Herr. We are made up of various riders - some have been on this team for many years and for some, it is their first time. But we are all ready to start fundraising!
Overall, in my lifetime, I personally have raised over $42,000 for the Ride, and this year I want to raise $6,000 bringing my total to $48,000 raised since 2013.
Our team is ready to roll once again this year and are really excited to fundraise!
And with even more friends joining me and helping as a team in 2023, we can work together to raise even more money together! We already have certain fundraising events ready to put into action.
This year we are aiming even higher than ever before as a team and trying to get to a grand total of $60,000 raised between all of our lifetimes riding! We are all ready to go for this goal and have some great ideas in mind to get there!!
So far I have $550 raised on my own, but I am just getting started!
The reason why I ride for Roswell is to help kids and adults who have cancer get the treatments they need so that they are able experience the things in life that they love - things like being with their family, going on vacation, playing outside, doing art and sports, and everything else they love. I also ride to help pay for research to cure cancer and prevent anyone else from having to go through treatments and give up the things they love. Any money that can be raised is making a difference because the great people at Roswell Park use every amount they get to do what they can for their patients!
