This year marks my 18th year of fundraising for the Ride for Roswell. As you are all aware, each year I choose to ride "in honor" or "in memory" of a friend or loved one. This year, I am fundraising for my mom, Carol Ziolkowski. In all of my years of doing the Ride for Roswell, I never imagined that I would be riding in honor of a parent.
It's heartbreaking to hear that a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer. My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer last year, & had surgery in early March 2021. Thank God she was diagnosed early & has not needed to be treated with chemo & radiation. I pray every day that no further treatment will be needed. It has been a long, stressful journey that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
Missy's Extra Milers has raised well over $350,000 since 2007 for this noble cause with a team of only a dozen riders. Please give from your heart, every dollar counts!
It's time for a cure, so that we never have to see another loved one fight the horrible disease that we call "Cancer."
With one in two men and one in three women in America being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, most of us know someone who has been affected by this devastating disease. You can make a difference by supporting me in The Ride For Roswell. Funds raised through The Ride support cutting-edge research and compassionate, innovative patient care programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can help find cancer cures and save lives.
